Carter's Cuff Clips are a uniquely designed jewelry product made to prevent your pants from dragging on the ground. The clip that slides over the back of your shoe is set at a specific tension to tightly fit your shoe and stay on while you walk. Shoes with thicker padding may require a slight effort, but the clip will fit. The charm piece is fastened to another clip used to attach to your pants. A sterling silver chain connects the shoe clip to the charm piece, and a lobster clasp is used to detach these pieces. When wearing the piece, the charm will be the only visible portion.
Materials
Carter's Cuff Clips are made from sterling silver. The clips are made from steel for durability and are nickel plated giving a shinny, clean finish.
Care
All sterling silver jewelry will tarnish. The exposed layer of silver reacts with chemicals and even the elements in the air to form something called "patina". It appears as a faint golden glow that you may notice after wearing your pieces a number of times. Store Carter's Cuff Clips in a cool, dry place to slow down tarnishing. You can use a soft, clean cloth to polish your pieces and remove body oils and dirt.
